I have been watching the first 6 episodes of American Idol 8 since January 14, and all I can say is “wow”. Some of you may find it odd why I blog about American Idol in the first place since my blog is about Bachelor stuff, yet remember that I also blog about dreams. And Dreams in American Idol is one of the obvious aspect of the show. Every year, thousands and thousands of dreamers line up for the show’s audition just to fulfill their dreams. One of my favorite season and probably the most popular is last year’s season wherein a Rocker, David Cook won the Grand Prize. It just proves that even a rockstar wannabe can have his dreams. It is such a soul moving moment when you see a nobody or a previously unknown person suddenly change his or her life and that of the viewers by simply following his dream. And this season 8, a fourth judge and fantastic voices will grace the Idol Stage. Here are some of the contestants to watch out for this season…

Anoop Desai – this guy has an amazing voice although geeky

Casey Carlson – Her pictures in a bikini is now all over the internet and man, she has a body to die for.

Joanna Pacitti – awesome voice and very pretty indeed. whoooo

Emily Hughes – one of the five Rockers who made it so far in the Auditions. She really Rocks and I’m rooting for her. There are four more Rockers who made it on the first stage of the auditions and I hope at least one of them can make it to the Top 12.

Scott Macintyre – this visually impaired (blind) guy has a very soothing voice. An Andrea Bocelli in the making. Some says he is very dangerous if he will make it to the top 12 because he might garner sympathy votes . But then again, give this guy a break. It’s the voice that matters and not his condition. Lil Rounds – and the one who stood out from the audition who got for yes fromthe judges.

American Idol has become the power breaker fro amateurs and a foot on the door for most of those who dream to make it big in the music industry. It’s such a nice feeling whendreamers fulfill their dreams. This week, Hollywood week begins which will eliminate most of the contestants who pass the initial audition. Let’s hope these guys make it to the top 36 at least.
