After the first ever semi-finals round of American Idol this season 8, America voted for their first 3 contestants in the much coveted Top 12 slots in the Finals. Danny Gokey (Song: “Hero”), Alexis Grace (Song: “Never Loved a Man”) and Michael Sarver (Song: “I Don’t Wanna Be”) all made it to through the finals. Which means their slot at the Final 12 is already secured. Watching the two-hour performance night yesterday, it’s undeniable that America is indeed a force to reckon with when it comes to intelligent voting. They all made a good decision in voting for this three contestants because they were all good. Although Anoop Desai was also a blast during his performance but he never made it with his votes. We can recall that the 36 semi-finalists were divided into three groups which will perform and be voted for three consecutive weeks, securing at least 9 slots for the three week period. The remaining three slots will be vied in the wildcard portion of the show during the fourth week before the official finals begins in March. Below are the contestants who did not made it this week in the first group.

Two of my bets made it, Alexis Grace and Michael Sarver. Anoop didn’t make it. Danny Gokey is pimped by the show. I hate it when they use the “dead wife sob-story” for sympathy votes.
